The Tree of Life workshop essentially expresses an abundance of who you from your core.

This one day painting and drawing workshop is so much fun, it will bring the artist out in you even if you have never expressed it before. I will guide you through the day as you explore the Tree of Life. Each part of the tree is symbolic of a different part of you and your life’s journey. For example the roots are symbolic of your base chakra: your tribe, your abundance, your connection with the earth and your security. The leaves are seen as the songs that are your thoughts that go out into the world.

There will be plenty of help with drawing and painting skills to help you more easily express yourself.

You will create an acrylic paint base and draw with pastels on top of 200gsm Canson watercolour paper. If you bring your own pastels there is a $10 discount.

In this one-day workshop you will create a life-size Goddess drawing of yourself and learn all about the power of turquoise and coral to help you experience and express your senses.

Turquoise is playful, spontaneous and all about clear, creative communication.
Coral is sensitive, empathic, caring and wisely gentle. Coral and turquoise are complementary colours so when working together they create greater harmony and balance in your life.

Every colour relates to a different sense. For example, orange is related to the sense of taste and also your sacral chakra ( belly button area) Therefore, when you draw your tummy you will awaken it with tasting delicious surprises and do a visualization around orange to see which foods most nourish your body.

We use, essential oils, aurasoma and music all to create an environment in which you can create effortlessly and tune into that part of yourself that intuitively knows how to create.

In this workshop we use the image of the boat as the vessel which both contains your life and takes you on your journey.

We use the colours orange and blue as our base.

In orange we explore nurturing your creativity and your sensuality. Orange is about honouring and growing the creative voice that yearns to be expressed in your everyday life. This could be the way you run your business, create a home or a more defined creative pursuit like painting or dance.

In blue we explore opening the gateway to your intuition which gives you access to your creative seeds and visions.

Blue and Orange are complementary colours so when working together they create greater harmony and balance in your life.

You will learn how to draw a boat and create reflections on water.

This is a lot of fun and I use a little movement to warm you up and aromatherapy and music to get you in the groove.

 We will look at the key areas of relationships, health, spirituality, career, finance, play and creativity, paying attention to past cycles and rhythms.

When we become conscious of where we have been where we are now and what truly makes us in harmony with life we can plant powerful seeds for our future.

The mandala is a very strong way of bringing our seeds into existence. It also acts as a great balance in our lives.

Every colour relates to a different area or quality within us. We will be using colour to discover and express ourselves. For example coral is all about sensuality and love in relationships and community. The balance is turquoise.

We will be doing a series of drawings and mandalas, using mainly ink, acrylic paints and some oil pastels. There will be plenty of help, practice and play in using these materials. Most materials will be supplied.
